Responsibilities:

Knowledge of, understanding of and compliance to all Quality System Documents that are associated with this job description. -
Actively participate in Multi-Color Corporation's Lean, Quality, Product Safety, SQF (Safe Quality Foods) and Workplace Safety Programs. -
Setting up and verifying correct position of the coating. Print/cut blanket if/when required. -
Determine acceptable color match and control color throughout run. Inform supervision if color match cannot be achieved. -
Reviewing the proofread sheet, making any adjustments or corrections and communicating printing problems to a supervisor prior to beginning of run. -
Coordinate and assist in washing blankets. -
Log in/out & entering of job codes into Vision. -
Establish target densities for job. -
Evaluate the fit and support the second pressman as they maintain during run. -
Establish color standards; pull extra samples when directed by the work instructions. -
Records feeder waste into Vision. -
Monitor for bounce and side guard variation. -
Coordinate and spot check bar code quality assurance checks. -
Set up and use of color measuring equipment. -
Review job bag & Vision for changes, and special instructions, & any other pertinent information.
Zero set clamps; bend and stage plates. Assist in hanging as needed. -
Properly manage all Prep (CIP) data sent to press & saved data for repeat jobs. -
Work with pressroom management, Service Net Representatives/Account Executives and customers as needed during customer OK's.

Pull quality control sheets and ensure other members of the press team perform appropriate quality checks. -
Reduce/eliminate defects and/or properly tag defects within the printed load. -
Ensure the load from press is ready to send the next page of production & is properly tagged and identified. -
Actively participate in press wash-ups to maximize quality and efficiency. -
Lead & actively participate in the work required to perform unit roller maintenance. -
Perform all duties associated with TPM daily task lists associated with Press. -
Lead the Press team to maximize the quality and efficiency of the work. -
Work with pressroom management, Service Net Representatives/Account Executives and customers as needed during customer OK's. -
Maintain the integrity of the delivery pile. -
Make minor plate repairs when appropriate. -
Coordinate/Verify that the weekend/last shift shutdown of the press is performed correctly. -
Ability to perform 2nd pressman & general worker functions when needed. -
Assign tasks to General Workers related to the safety, quality and productivity of the press. Tasks should be communicated in a professional manner and training or guidance provided as needed. - Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years as a 2nd Pressman or equivalent
