Our Space and Defense Group is looking for a Senior Test Equipment Electrical Design Engineer to join them. You will report to the Senior Engineering Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in East Aurora, NY.

As a Sr. Test Equipment Electrical Design Engineer in our Space & Defense Group in East Aurora you will be responsible for design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems that will be used to test the products of Moog, Inc. This position is responsible for design and development of new electrical test equipment, assemblies, and/or processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. You will plan and conduct efforts requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard and nonstandard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. You will independently devise new approaches for problems encountered and coordinate the work of others.

To be considered for Sr. Test Equipment Electrical Design Engineer, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years' relevant technical experience OR Master of Science Degree in Engineering with 5+ Years' relevant technical experience

  • Ability to lead formal design reviews and presentations

  • Due to involvement with certain military programs, US citizenship is required

  • DOORS experience a plus

As a Sr. Test Equipment Electrical Design Engineer, you will:

  • Work with the internal program teams to provide the design of specialized test equipment, systems architecture and interface definition, and requirements validation.

  • Lead the design process and provide technical leadership within Moog's program scope.

  • Design linear/rotary test equipment systems to support development and production hardware.

  • Perform hardware correlation, system integration and verification testing.

  • Coordinate the assembly of test equipment.

  • Mentor junior engineers

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $115,000.00-$150,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
