Position Summary |
This position serves as a management and operational assistant to the Practicum Education Office. This office has operations with multiple and varied components serving the practicum needs of both students in the online and on-ground social work programs. This position will serve as an assistant to the Practicum Education Director and have operational responsibilities. The position requires a range of abilities including the ability to work accurately with internal and external constituent groups (i.e., agency partners, practicum instructors, funding programs, university level officials, vendors, faculty, and students). The ability to work accurately with diverse types of information and to maintain positive relationships with numerous constituents and to communicate accurately and effectively in both oral and written form is essential.
During periods of student and agency onboarding, the majority of time is allocated to tasks that involve several steps and require the selection of the most appropriate action within procedural and operational guidelines. Work requires knowledge of program policies, procedures, and information systems in order to manage, communicate, and process information. This position in the performance of duties. The range of duties includes, but is not limited to, assisting the Director of Practicum Education in coordination and management of the practicum education office, administrative oversight and management of budget and expenditures (including developing, forecasting, and overseeing budgets), developing office procedures to facilitate practicum education office schedules throughout the year, creating policies, entering data, verifying data, producing data reports, summarizing, and reconciling information and student and agency data, records management, review and processing criminal record checks and other onboarding requirements.
This position will coordinate events and publications of the Practicum Education office including the administrative oversight and coordination of trainings, conferences and events for students and practicum instructors/community agency personnel. This position will be responsible for the design and layout of manuals, brochures, flyers, and outreach material.
This is an in-person position with at least three days on-site for management and interfacing with constituents. In-person attendance for trainings, conferences, and events are required. This position will be an integral part of the practicum education team and represent the Director and office as needed. The candidate must have the ability to work independently and with the team to manage daily office operations, coordinate and manage student/agency data administration, manage agency interactions and engage with all constituents as needed on behalf of the Director of Practicum Education and practicum education team needs. This position will assist the Director of Practicum Education with all aspects of the practicum education program as needed. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
