Position Overview:

The role supports Ingevity's global technology initiatives, focusing on integrating comprehensive cybersecurity controls across corporate and cloud environments. These controls are crucial for safeguarding confidential and intellectual property, preventing business disruptions, and ensuring continuous business operations.

How you will impact Ingevity:

  • Safeguard highly confidential information in strict adherence to legal, ethical, and regulatory obligations.
  • Comprehensively understand and adhere to Ingevity's incident response protocols, including preparation, response, triage, and recovery processes.
  • Partner with various IT groups and Business Units to implement and manage information security controls that protect and enable business operations.
  • Administer and maintain assigned security tools, encompassing policy configuration, report generation, and upgrades. This includes, but is not limited to, email security, vulnerability management, endpoint protection, firewalls, data protection/loss prevention, and privileged access management (PAM).
  • Execute security initiatives, foster collaboration with fellow security team members, and manage vendor relationships to achieve security objectives established by management.
  • Continually optimize security controls to ensure their highest level of effectiveness. Coordinate with IT partners to validate the comprehensive coverage of security tools.

What you need to succeed:

  • 3 years of experience in Information Technology, including 1 year of Information SecurityorBachelor's degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Business-related field of study.
  • One or more IT security foundation certifications (ex: Security+, CSX Cybersecurity Fundamentals, MTA: Security Fundamentals, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft operating systems and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with network architecture, including switching, routing, and DNS.
  • Strong understanding of cloud environments and architecture, with a preference for Azure.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of NIST or ISO 27001 frameworks.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adhere to project schedules and deadlines.
  • Understanding of ITIL change management processes; ITIL certification is an advantage.
