We are seeking a highly motivated engineer / scientist to join the Analytical Development department supporting respiratory drug products in the MannKind pipeline.

What You'll Be Doing:


  • Support evaluation of engineered particle inhaled dosage forms. Perform tests such as HPLC for content analysis, water content, and aerosol performance.
  • Analyze the physical and chemical properties of drug substances and products.
  • Assist in testing batches for development and pre-clinical studies
  • Design and carry out experiments to support analytical method development.
  • Document, compile, review, and present data.
  • Comply with safety guidelines and good laboratory practices which include the maintenance of laboratory documentation, written procedures and laboratory notebooks.
  • Work with hazardous materials and chemicals in accordance with MannKind safety policies and procedures.



What You Bring to the Table:


  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemistry, or equivalent, preferably within 1-2 years of graduation.
  • Strong scientific fundamentals.
  • Excellent problem solving and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Fluency in MS Office software.
  • Accuracy in following instructions, generating data, and documenting data and procedures.


Bonus Points If You Have:


  • Prior experience within life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or biotech industries
  • You possess superior time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with general laboratory procedures is a plus.
  • You have an intrinsic motivation to continually improve and optimize processes.
  • You take the initiative to identify opportunities for improvement and act on them without needing constant direction.
  • You are open to constructive criticism and use it to improve performance and grow professionally.

  • Full-time commitment, Monday to Friday

  • A reliable commute or the intention to find temporary housing before starting the internship is required.
