Tides Coastal Kitchen, the signature restaurant at the Delta Hotel, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our front-of-house team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality, dedicated to exceptional guest experiences, and skilled in managing restaurant operations, staff, and financial performance. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold our high standards of service.

To effectively manage and direct all of restaurant operations in reference to quality service, supervision of associates, monitor quality and consistency of food production, cost control, and inventory.

Here is what you will be doing each day:




  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring an efficient and seamless dining experience.



  • Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and food quality.



  • Monitor reservations, seating arrangements, and guest flow to optimize service.


  • Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.

  • Recruit, train, and develop front-of-house staff to provide outstanding service.



  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.



  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching to improve service standards.



  • Manage employee schedules, ensuring proper coverage while controlling labor costs. Monitor and control operating costs, including labor, food, and beverage expenses.



  • Responsible for covering peak periods to ensure revenue maximization and service delivery.


  • Ensuring that the restaurant complies with sanitation and safety standards for guests and associates. Check that all equipment is in working order. Visually inspect and take action to ensure that facilities in restaurant look appealing and attractive to guests. Follow up on work orders so repairs and maintenance of facility are completed on a timely basis.

  • Responsible for achieving restaurant revenues and margins.



  • Handle inventory management and work with vendors to ensure efficient supply chain operations.



  • Process payroll, manage tip distribution, and maintain accurate financial records.



  • Monitor product quality and guest satisfaction in restaurant. Ensure that food quality is consistent, appealing, and prepared to guest specifications.


  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on quality of service and food in outlet. Address guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns in a professional and timely manner.

  • Maintain strong relationships with regular guests and the local community to boost business.



  • Responsible for the execution and planning of all restaurant activations.



  • Collaborate with hotel management and marketing teams to drive restaurant promotions and events.


  • Document inventory forecast usage and monitor supply so that restaurants are stocked with linen, glassware, silverware, china, condiments, to provide service.
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Participate in marketing efforts of restaurants, create menu ideas, survey competition and report food trends and assist in preparations of specials.
  • Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.



Qualifications & Experience:



  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a hotel or upscale dining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, financial management, and hospitality standards.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in POS systems and restaurant management software.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food Safety and Alcohol Service certifications (or ability to obtain).



Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking. Ability to lift/carry weight up to 50 pounds. Ability to push/and pull carts of products weighing up to 150 pounds.
