We are seeking a BI Analyst with SQL, Power BI, and Salesforce experience preferred.

The Business Intelligence Analyst manages key tasks that facilitate efficient and effective sales operations, and supports successful business development, sales promotion, and data analysis. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and organized, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. This person will be driven to help and quick to develop organizational tools, resources, and data visualizations to elevate the delivery of his/her main responsibilities. The Business Intelligence Analyst will work with the Senior Manager of Commercial Analytics to optimize sales reporting, data production, and performance analysis. She/he will maintain CRM data and direct the sales team in best practices for ongoing maintenance. The Business Intelligence Analyst will provide data and administrative support for the 340B program.

The Business Intelligence Analyst also takes a lead role in recurring and ad hoc projects, including reporting and process development to streamline and improve sales data communication.

The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail and the ability to provide a consistently high-level of data quality assurance. The candidate must exhibit the ability to problem solve and analyze issues, as well as research root causes. The candidate must have communication skills that enable them to interact with internal and external clients in a meaningful and fruitful way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently generate and disseminate periodic reports for both internal and external stakeholders, encompassing sales metrics, insights, and 340B data.
  • Spearhead lead generation initiatives and analyze campaign effectiveness.
  • Maintain and report on CRM data with minimal supervision.
  • Create and refine CRM documentation tailored for sales personnel.
  • Facilitate the execution of core analytics and innovate new analytics, reporting, and visualization techniques to address emerging inquiries.
  • Resolve any data discrepancies arising from gaps in quality checks, leveraging broad application of principles and theories.
  • Craft queries for ad hoc data requests from internal teams.
  • Contribute to data production for client and prospective client presentations, applying working knowledge of related fields.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the data landscape and available sources.
  • Ensure data consistency across internal systems.
  • Assume leadership roles in large-scale, complex, or cross-functional projects, coordinating the Business Intelligence team's contributions in collaboration with other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with and mentor less experienced team members on technical and operational matters, enabling them to produce quality work independently.
  • Develop and document departmental processes with minimal direction, ensuring objectives are met.
  • Champion innovation by seeking out and assessing new tools, processes, and data perspectives.
  • Translate business inquiries into analytics frameworks, devising suitable analytics plans and providing informed recommendations based on analysis.
  • Grasp the logic behind standard reporting, with the ability to recreate, modify, and implement new reporting when necessary.
  • Partner with internal colleagues to fulfill project requirements as needed.

Minimum Requirement

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 3+ years of relevant experience.

Education

4-year degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Analytics or HealthCare related field

Critical Skills

  • 3+ years experience in data analysis with CRM experience, healthcare preferred
  • Efficient with SQL query tool, thorough understanding of SQL methods to query various size data sets
  • Fluency with data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • SQL and Power BI knowledge required

Additional Skills

  • 3+ years of healthcare experience preferred
  • CRM experience required, Salesforce preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing projects
  • Highly collaborative individual capable of navigating a matrixed environment
  • Proactively and independently learns and utilizes new technology, concepts, and procedures as appropriate to project requirements. Maintains current knowledge of industry technology trends.
  • Experience working in a virtual team-based environment
  • Flexible positive attitude: Hungry to solve problems and grow within the organization
  • Able to communicate (written, presentational, & verbally) key findings from data in a concise & actionable manner

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$79,200 - $132,000
