This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. FTT will require proof of status prior to employment.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

We have an immediate opening for a Financial Controllerito join our team in our Jupiter, Florida office. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing accounting/financial operations, management of accounting staff, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting in compliance with corporate and government requirements. This position requires a minimum of 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a full understanding of government accounting practices. If applicable, relocation assistance will be offered for this position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Prepares and consolidates financial statements.
• Establishes and maintains internal controls.
• Supervises accounts receivable, accounts payable, general accountants, and assistant controller.
• Manages all aspects of the general ledger.
• Treasury management.
• Provides monthly, quarterly, and year-end analyses.
• Coordinates or assists with the budget process.
• Interaction with Government Agency Audits.
• Working with Government Rates, Allocated Costs, and Cost Pools.
• Research accounting issues for compliance with GAAP.
• Analyzes and reports cost variances.
• Serves as a liaison to external auditors.
• Prepares and/or reviews appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations.
• Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting.
• Project job cost accounting.
• Receives minimal instruction on daily work, general instructions on newly introduced assignments.
• Uses office-automated systems to input data and generate reports.
• Checks and verifies cost accounting, account payable records, prepares invoices and vouchers, types, files, posts ledger and general journal entries, and/or balances accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Reconcile difficult accounts.
• Works on difficult assignments that require judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations.
• Applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
• Maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements.
• Other job duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

This position will be leading the Accounting/Finance Team, and must have previous management experience.

• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS is strongly preferred.
• Experience with various types of government contract types.
• Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP system experience, such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
• Experience in international multicurrency transactions.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (strong working knowledge of Excel).
• Commercial and International Accounting experience is strongly desired.
• Have a willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for company required purposes, including training, reviewing and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment and changes, and more.
• Organized, accurate, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize.
• Must be a highly motivated self-starter.
• Ability to communicate and interact effectively with peers and supervisors, including maintaining respect for others, and following company policies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bacheloris degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10+ years experience of progressive accounting/financial reporting.
• Federal Government contract accounting experience is required.

• Office/open cubicle environment.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time.
