Job Summary The Clinical Informaticist is a key leader and participant in the Healthcare Informatics team for Monument Health's clinical and business workflows including creation, optimization, and education of these entities. This includes, but is not limited to, Epic and other clinical software implementation and optimization. The Clinical Informaticist is an integral part of the Informatics team and will participate in investigating current process improvement opportunities involving Epic or clinical software, lead optimization efforts in the use and build of current of Epic or other clinical software in efficiency and optimization, act as the subject matter expert on the complexities of uniting clinical workflows with technology, lead operational and Information Technology (IT) teams to successful partnerships in implementation of Informatics centric projects, use their clinical experience to guide clinical workflows and efficient use of Epic and other clinical software to drive quality of care, improved patient outcomes and reduce clinical risk. The Clinical Informaticist will focus on improved provider and caregiver efficiency, education, and optimization to reduce burnout. For Informatics specific projects, the Clinical Informaticist is accountable for direct oversight of Healthcare Informatics projects to include resource management, removal of project barriers, direct collaboration within IT and operations, monitoring and management of issues, issue escalation and documentation related to managing projects. Other duties not specifically listed may be required as Healthcare Informatics is a dynamic department. Additional Requirements Required: Education - Bachelors degree in related field or completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing Work Experience - 3+ years Clinical Experience Preferred: Certification - RN or LPN or other clinical areas such as Physical Therapist or Respiratory Therapists Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
