Description & Requirements
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst, Senior is a seasoned professional who contributes to the quality of software products through close collaboration with cross-functional teams to provide requirements analysis, test case management, in-depth manual and automated testing, and reporting. The QA Analyst Senior possesses a solid understanding of Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC), knowledge of a variety of testing methodologies, and embraces contributing to continuous improvement of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). This role includes mentoring project team members and driving quality assurance and control activities to ensure high-quality software delivery.
How you will contribute:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the project and product requirements, assure that holistic quality assurance and control strategies are part of the conversation, promote an atmosphere of continuous improvement in all things that can positively impact quality such as: process engineering, testing techniques (boundary, combinatorial, decision table, etc) and testing types (unit, integration, service, functional, performance, etc.), and product documentation.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing through detailed documentation and constructive conversations assuring that all team member's perspectives are considered.
  • Participate in refinements, planning, estimations, standups, retrospectives, reviews, release and other team-based activities to contribute to the overall project progress and quality.
  • Promote adoption of best practices to "build quality in," and continually learn new quality assurance and control tools, techniques, patterns, and practices.
  • Help maintain a collaborative, transparent, positive team environment by openly and kindly communicating testing progress, successes and challenges including observation that may be bugs, impediments and training issues.
  • Mentor and guide team members who are less experienced in quality assurance and control methodologies, lead the quality assurance and control efforts on assigned projects and products.
  • Analyze requirement documentation and technical specifications. Lead the design, development and execution of complex project test strategies and product test plans assuring alignment with business requirements and adhering to SSDLC and STLC
  • Compose and execute manual and automated test suites, test scripts, and test cases on desktop and mobile platforms primarily in, but not limited to, a web-browser environment. Drive the implementation and usage of automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Communicate and document observations in content, test management and issue-tracking systems including recommendations, results, reports, and alternative ideas to address existing and potential trouble areas in software products and IT systems
  • Raise observations and actionable bugs, make recommendations for improvement of applications, and identify impediments
  • Contribute to quality assurance thought leadership, collaborate with developing, adapting, and improving quality assurance processes, practices and standards to improve quality control across team and functional boundaries.
  • Complete required training timely and be actively involved in determining future training
  • Embrace a culture of curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and continual improvement; enthusiastically participate in weekly reviews with direct management
  • Promote a quality mindset across the broader project/product team.
  • Utilize areas of strength by mentoring and helping to promote growth in direct team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years or more of previous relevant experience
  • Knowledge of:
    • SSDLC and STLC Test case management and issue management tools
    • Test automation tools and techniques
    • Development Methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, DevOps
    • Quality Assurance and Control techniques
    • Business and Requirement analysis
  • Advanced capabilities in test management including test plan strategy, test case composition, test script development, test suite/case maintenance, and test reporting
  • Ability to leverage automated testing tools, composing and executing test cases
  • Ability to advise developers in unit, integrated, performance, and security testing Apply appropriate QA methodologies for a given scenario
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 - 9 years of previous relevant experience
