Who we are looking for:

We are currently searching for a 3rd shift Manufacturing Supervisor (11p-7a) with a rotating schedule - Sunday-Saturday for its facility in Byesville. Reporting the Cable Plant Operations Superintendent this person will be responsible for supervising and leading the machine operating staff with an emphasis on teamwork, continuous improvement, and full ownership for the shift safety, quality delivery and productivity performance.

What you'll do:



  • Lead the Atkore Business System and Lean Daily Management within your teams and utilize Lean tools for improvement projects focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Develop and coach team members within the value stream with necessary skills to identify problems and challenges, perform root cause analyses and implement countermeasures and solutions as necessary.
  • Control and optimization of labor, materials, and machine utilization to achieve production goals and meet the production scheduling plan.
  • Achieve production goals to meet the production scheduling plan.
  • Manage vacation schedules and overtime
  • Communication with all levels of the organization
  • Lead by example and live the Atkore Values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence


What you'll bring:



  • High School Diploma with, bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Wire and cable manufacturing experience is desirable
  • Must have schedule flexibility and be willing to work additional hours based on business needs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems using Lean Manufacturing tools
  • Electrical/Mechanical troubleshooting skills of industrial equipment is beneficial
  • Basic computer proficiency


Within 3-months, you'll:



  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy
  • Understand your team's strengths and opportunities
  • Update daily production reports and KPI boards


Within 6-months, you'll:



  • Partner with Safety, Quality and HR to investigate and provide corrective actions for on-the-job safety injuries, customer complaints, and labor relations issues
  • Identify ways to strengthen the team's commitment to Atkore's Core Values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence
  • Fully understand how you and your team impact Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost


Within 12-months, you'll:



  • Be managing and efficient team that meets or exceeds performance goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost
  • Create and update reports, training materials and procedures as necessary
  • Drive Lean Transformation strategy for your shift. Drive and implement projects to improve SQDC

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $61,360 - $84,370. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
