The Manager, USVC Commercial Analytics, acts as a data driven insights strategist across multiple stakeholder groups within US Vision Care and US Commercial Operations. The key priority of this role is to accelerate sales force effectiveness through data, analytics, and business insights. The Manager will deliver data and analytics principles and tactical outputs to the USVC Commercial Operations team as a partner to the broader US Vision Care team. This role has significant levels of responsibility and accountability for developing and directing all data and analytics management activities including but not limited to: co-developing the data strategy and analytics strategy for USVC Commercial Operations; partnering across the Commercial Analytics roles between franchises to leverage and share best practices in Operations; developing data analytics requirements; identifying and establishing analytics required per project/initiative/commercial requirement; assessing feasibility, viability and sustainability of those analytics; executing on current and future state business needs while driving positive value to the business through delivery of business insights. Major Accountabilities:
- Drive business insights to the correct stakeholders through tools such as Alteryx and Tableau
- Oversight and support for sales related systems and databases (e.g., CRM: customer relationship management systems, Pitcher, Salesforce.com) including monitoring, managing, and training as needed
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives
- Leading required reporting and territory planning to support Sales teams
- Collaborating with cross functional partners as well as 3rd parties to identify solutions that enable business priorities
- Driving and developing strategic analytics to support prioritization of projects and initiatives through assessments
- Lead data analytics projects using advanced analytical skills within reasonable timelines
- Provide thought leadership on both the technology currently deployed in our technology stack and technology that should be deployed to support the activities of USVC Commercial Ops
- Management of stakeholders through regular and close engagements
- Lead the prioritization of business and functional requirements through planning sessions with business stakeholders
- Determine, negotiate and obtain stakeholder buy-in using data and analytics
- Identify relevant stakeholders and support business requirements through data as applicable
- Establish goals and objectives in line with stakeholders expectations
- Perform self-service data preparation and build reports/dashboards based on user requirements
- In conjunction with peers, recommend and help design business process changes for better product adoption
- Create and deliver on action plans in consultation with Business and IT peers
- Develop advanced analytics to leverage existing data and reporting available in various systems
- Identify and manage data risks
- Translate business requirements into technical data transformation using acquired data knowledge
- Ensure expected data documentation is created and maintained ongoing
- Ensure deliverables are produced in conformance with quality requirements
- Ensure team adheres to Alcons established governance, frameworks and tools and ensure consistency with Alcons policies, standards, processes and guidelines
- Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Identify and implement continuous improvement on current services by constantly capturing feedback, assessing individual performance, and conducting retrospective sessions
Key Performance Indicators: Key Performance indicators will include, but not be limited to:
- Customer & Stakeholder Satisfaction
- Ensure delivered solutions satisfy business requirements and within agreed upon timelines
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert and thought leader in the Commercial Operations space
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication (verbally and written) skills
- Strong leadership, influencing and conflict resolution skills to drive change and business outcome
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven self-starter with ability to lead through influence
- Experience working with ambiguity and high learning agility
- Ability to build strong relationships and communicate with a breadth and variety of internal and external resources
- Ability to work with others in a high paced, fluid, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team
- 6+ years of applicable data & analytics experience
Preferred Requirements:
- Prior experience within Operations
- Strong systems/technology background
- Project Management experience
