A Seasonal Tasting Room Lead job in Woodinville, WA is available at Chateau Ste. Michelle. As a Tasting Room Lead, you set the tone for the winery experience and will ensure that every guest feels a positive and genuine connection with the winery.

This is a seasonal, part-time hourly role that is eligible for tips. Seasonal roles are typically May - October, or as seasonal business needs require. This role requires availability on evenings and weekends to support our Summer Concert Series.

Tasting Room Lead job responsibilities include:



  • Responsible for daily opening and closing procedures to include cash handling and tip entry in an accurate and responsible manner, including on concert field and additional outdoor spaces.
  • Keep informed on daily happenings regarding the Tasting Room and help keep team up to speed on changes, events, promotions, and special tours/tastings
  • Responsible for accurately reporting wine samples and inventory.
  • Assist with the set-up, execution/service, and break-down of special events as requested.
  • Provide accurate information about our wine club and mailing list while encouraging guests to sign up.
  • Operate POS/registers to sell wine, merchandise, wine club memberships and to collect wine tasting fees as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with state and company guidelines.
  • Support training and onboarding initiatives by providing instructional feedback to Guest Services team members.


Physical Requirements:



  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk for extended periods of time.


Position Requirements:



  • Must be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
  • MAST Class 12 Permit and Food Handlers card required.
  • 3+ years of customer service experience required (retail/hospitality preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to speak comfortably and audibly in front of groups.
  • High level of experience with problem solving and customer resolution while remaining calm and professional.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Goal orientated and able to work as part of a team.
  • Basic computer skills with superior knowledge of Point of Sales (POS) systems.
  • Must be flexible and available to work varied hours.
  • History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies.


Your Compensation:

$21.41 - $27.82 per hour based upon relevant experience.
