Plant Accountant

Huntsman's Performance Products Division is now searching for a new Plant Accountant who will assist the Plant Controller with all aspects of financial management and analysis including but not limited to research and evaluation, policy and procedure, auditing, planning, cost control, contract administration, budget, regulatory filings, physical inventory, and financial reporting. This role is an active, full member of the accounting team, located in Conroe, Texas.

In summary, as the Plant Accountant, you will:

  • Support the Conroe plant with Product costing, Production varaince analysis, Purchase Price variance anlaysis, BOM analysis and monthly plant reporting.
  • Support in the Month end close process, expense cost review, submitting expense JE and Accruals.
  • Support divisional requirements with budgets and forecast.
  • Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance are met.
  • Support with Physical and Fixed Asset inventory.
  • Support Conroe plant management staff as required.
  • Backup Conroe plant controller as required.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Business with 3 + years of experience.

* Must have a level of proficiency Internet, Email, and Microsoft programs.

* SAP, ERP, ECC experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with PAW is a plus.

* Experience with reporting tools is a plus.

Skills and knowledge

  • Strong organizational and motivational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and resources.
  • Ability to develop partnerships within and outside process area.
  • Ability to interpret and apply corporate policies and procedures.
  • Must be detailed oriented with the ability to perform work with a high level of accuracy.
