Regions Hospital has an opportunity available for an individual with exceptional customer service skills to join our Rehabilitation department in a Rehabilitation Scheduling & Insurance Coordinator position. This will be a full time position working Monday-Friday 8:00a-3:30p.

This position is responsible for insurance coordination and general rehab admissions team support, inpatient appointment scheduling and customer service functions in a fast-paced healthcare environment. These functions primarily include managing insurance prior authorization and denials, scheduling and coordinating therapy appointments using EPIC, responding to phone and in-basket requests, and providing general rehab admissions and staffing support. Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:

M-F 8:00-3:30 with intermittent Saturday PTO coverage 6:30am-3:00pm.

Required Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of clerical and customer service experience in healthcare


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Two years post-secondary education in healthcare or business administration is preferred.
  • Healthcare scheduling experience is preferred, five years strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of insurance rules and regulations preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical record, particularly EPIC, strongly preferred.
