Plumber

Education:

• High School diploma
• Apprentice License permitted, Journeyman's license preferred
  

Licensure:
* Valid state-issued driver's license
* Must have at least an Apprentice License (3,750-hour requirement) at hire, however must obtain Journeyman's license within 12 months of hire

Experience:

• 4 years experience, preferably in an institutional setting, in order to understand plumbing repair procedures

Skills:
* Thorough knowledge of the principles of plumbing and mathematics
* Thorough knowledge of current trends, codes, safety practices and technologies related to the trade and associated trades
* Skill in data analysis and interpretation
* Ability to read and understand blueprints

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Inspects and/or tests mechanical and plumbing systems. Repairs defects in mechanical and plumbing systems by soldering, brazing or welding.
* Inspects drain lines by using drain line cleaning equipment.
* Replaces valves, pipe, and any associated plumbing devises.
* Repairs, installs and maintains mechanical/plumbing equipment and systems by reading, interpreting and working from blue prints, diagrams and schematics.
* Prepares estimates of time, labor and materials. Prepares reports reflecting daily operations and project status.
* Operates and maintains tools and equipment of the plumbing trade. Cleans work area upon completion of project.

Pay Range

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
