Job Description This position will work as part of the Planning and Analysis team with a focus on various analytical needs of the department including analysis of financial results and trends to support senior management decision making. Will also participate in the annual budgeting process. Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 plus bonuses Essential Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Analysis of monthly financial results and explanation of variances to budget and prior year.
- Perform various forms of financial analysis on both a regular and ad hoc basis at the direction of the Corporate Controller and CFO.
- Implement and monitor formal capital spending approval process for the Company.
- Perform post-audit review of capital projects to determine if Odom obtained the projected benefits.
- Analyze acquisitions and work with Accounting/Finance Sr. Leadership to prepare presentations for management, Board and banks.
- Participate in annual budgeting process, including preparation of budget templates, compilation of data to populate the templates, and presentation of budget information to management.
- Other Planning and Analysis duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Four-year degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required.
- A minimum of two to three years of accounting/finance experience.
- Industry experience is a plus but not required.
- Ability to "dive deep" into numbers and explain variances.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Good oral and written communications skills, detail orientation and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to occasionally travel as required.
- Computer Abilities and Related Skills:
o Microsoft Excel and Word (strong Excel skills are a requirement) o Microsoft Power BI o Great Plains o SQL a plus o Other accounting software applications
