SHEQ Assurance Specialist

SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Responsible Distribution and ISO within our various businesses in the Americas. This role involves working directly with Senior Management; communicating with various departments to generate or update standard operating procedures; establishing and documenting practices of excellence and possibly complying with other management systems and requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist in documenting best practices and SOPs for the Azelis Americas ISO and RD Platforms
  • Assist business vertical with NCR reporting as required
  • Work with Safety Committees to ensure compliance and relevance
  • Conduct internal audits for quality, safety, and regulatory requirements
  • Integrate into the business to stay current with daily processes and mandates
  • Ensure all forms and records are being created to meet the expectations of both RD and ISO
  • Verify established SOPs are followed and documented where needed
  • Attend training courses, webinars and workshops for RD, ISO and other relevant topics as needed
  • Elaborate, recommend, and oversee improvement actions
  • Report on results of quality activities and trends
  • Analyze external audit outcomes and ensure appropriate corrective measures
  • Participate in third-party audits and site verifications
  • Present any new or modified SOPs or forms to business vertical
  • Manage nonconformance process including approving root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Manage effectiveness verification and trending of nonconformances
  • Review nonconformance KPIs with business leaders as required
  • Communicate the importance of Azelis quality management systems
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but not limited to):

  • Understand and adhere to/follow the department procedures and policies
  • Adhere to and support the principles of Responsible Distribution.
  • Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Knowledge of Responsible Distribution and ISO 9001 preferred
  • Knowledge of nonconformance program requirements preferred
  • Certification as a quality auditor, six sigma preferred
  • Knowledge of QA terms, tolls, and methodologies
  • Relevant knowledge of regulatory requirements an asset
  • Ability to guide stakeholders across all levels of the organization

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

COMPUTER SKILLS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
