POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Red Peak Technical Services, LLC a subsidiary of Alutiiq, LLC has an opening for Support Services Specialists in the Lorton, VA area.The Support Services Specialist supports the contract through coordinating acquisitions, maintaining inventory, managing building services, and handling local deliveries.



  • Assist in the acquisition of supplies, service and equipment which includes research, documentation and preparation of the appropriate document. Provide coordination between client offices and other resources (Department, other agencies, or vendors) to obtain services. Prepare forms, draft memorandums, floor plans, spreadsheets and other statistical reports as required.
  • Conducts physical inventories of equipment and office property and maintain records.
  • Assist in the management of building operations by arranging for required maintenance, repairs and renovation services.
  • Perform local pick-up and deliveries utilizing a government vehicle when pick-up sites are not on DOS shuttle routes.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Payrate:$41.81 Hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience with Federal Property Management procedures
  • Experience in industrial safety provisions as established by OSHA
  • Experience in physical and information security requirements for classified operations
  • Experience in property disposal procedures by the General Service Administration
  • Functional knowledge of word processing software
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record - no accidents or moving violations within the last three (3) years
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Pursuant to the Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.


Preferred Qualifications or Skills:



  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment, meeting quick turnaround deadlines
  • Self-Starter and team working abilities
  • Knowledge in government supply-chain management and logistics functions
  • General understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
