Systems Engineer

Altamira Technologies seeks Systems Engineers at Multiple Career Levels to work in a collaborative,iterative development environment. Our Systems Engineers provide development, integration, operations and sustainment for next generation, cutting-edge satellite ground software. Systems Engineers provide technical direction and clarification of requirements to software development teams & test personnel, perform system engineering analyses including trade studies, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification. Systems Engineers support definition of operations concepts and procedure planning / development, interface with personnel from other organizations, and represent the program at technical interchange meetings. Systems Engineers also participate in daily program scrum meetings and provide status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks.

Required Skills:

• Experience in Systems Engineering lifecycle
• Experience Conducting performance analyses, risk analyses, and trade studies
• Ability to Define external and internal interfaces
• Ability to manage and maintain assigned documents in accordance with established systems engineering and configuration management procedures
• Provideclarification of requirements tothe software development team
• Experiencesupporting the Systems Engineering Integration Test (SEIT) team in preparation and conduct of program reviews
• Perform functional decomposition of requirements to meet system and domain level needs
• Experience of Agile software development lifecycle models
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of administration
• CURRENT TS clearance REQUIRED (SCI or SCI eligibility preferred). .

Desired Skills:

• Experience in Satellite Command/Control, Mission Management and/or Ground Systems
• Systems Engineering experience on a large government software development contract
• Experience in Systems Engineer process development and deployment
• Experience working in an Agile DevSecOps environment, being part of a highly integrated team working closely with Software, Integration, and Verification teams
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) development methods
• Experience working with requirements in DOORS or other requirements database
• Experience with Matlab, Python, or other scripting languages
• Experience with SysML

Education & Experience Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree (typically in STEM focused discipline - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)

Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience with a Masters degree (typically in STEM focused discipline - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)

In accordance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for these positions is $90,000 to $225,000. However, Altamira Technologies Corporation considers multiple variables when determining compensation, including but not limited to, the level of responsibilities, prior work experience, education/certifications, customer contractual specifications, and any clearance requirements.
