*Job Description: *
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll help our patients check into the hospital. This is a fast-paced role where you'll be the person patients rely on to answer questions during registration. You'll build trust by collecting information accurately and quickly, while listening with compassion to address their fears, concerns, and questions. * Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment. * Collect details accurately across multiple screens between physician and nurse check-ins. * Assist patients who may be very ill or worried, easing their anxiety by listening carefully and asking follow-up questions. * Work on your feet, assisting patients with registration and collecting patient and insurance information. * Adapt to a fast-paced environment with varying health plans and coverage. * Collaborate with a reliable team, supporting each other's career goals. * Handle registration for up to 120 people per day, including a large homeless population during winter. * Remain calm under pressure in the ED, dealing with unexpected situations. * Alternate between registration window and bedside registration with a shift partner. *Qualifications:* * High School Diploma or GED * 1+ years of customer service, preference to healthcare candidates *Work Environment:* * Work with one other person without leadership support during the shift. * No cell phones allowed during the shift. *Schedule:* * Week 1: * Sunday: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM * Wednesday: 12:30 AM - 6:30 AM * Thursday: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM * Friday: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM * Week 2: * Monday: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM * Tuesday: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM * Wednesday: 6:30 PM - 12:30 PM * Saturday: 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $18.70 - $19.80/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
