Position Function |
Support the Assistant Vice President/Executive Director by providing operational management for the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships; work closely with the
AVP, the Director of Financial Aid and the Director of Scholarships to develop office goals and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Work closely with staff to provide a robust operational environment in the daily processing of financial aid and scholarships. Maintain office policies and procedures. Directly supervise two associate directors and guide the development and maintenance of the financial aid software system (Ellucian Banner), the integration with other related systems, buildout of the data warehouse and data dashboards and guide reporting for operations and strategic planning. |
Minimum Education |
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or in lieu of Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree with an additional three years of experience with support and maintenance of a mission-critical software system, including writing systems documentation. |
Minimum Experience |
At least seven years of experience in all aspects of financial aid administration. Experience as a director, associate director or assistant director with demonstrated ability to guide office operations, develop policy and procedures, supervise systems staff and guide the development of a major financial aid system (Banner).

Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and familiarity with the privacy and protection of sensitive data; demonstrated ability to accurately interpret and apply regulatory guidance to systems design; excellent communication, customer service and supervisory skills with the ability to train and mentor others. |
Authorization to work in the US |
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. |
Preferred Education |
Master's Degree.

Preferred Experience |
At least three years of direct experience supporting Ellucian Banner; including system programming, testing of software upgrades, problem resolution and strategic and ad hoc reporting. Ability to analyze, interpret and present data that impacts decision-making. |
Preferred Other |
Proficiency with Ellucian's Banner Financial Aid module; working knowledge of
BDMS or other imaging software; proficiency with Argos Report Writer, Tableau or other reporting tools; project management experience. |
