Position Summary

The University of New Mexico, Office for Community Health invites applications for a Training Specialist. This position conducts focused educational/training needs assessments within specified targeted adult populations; designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates a range of responsive educational curricula and training programs within the field of healthcare, specifically around the Social Drivers of Health (SDOH).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Strong interpersonal and
    communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range
    of constituencies and diverse communities.
  • Strong interpersonal and
    communication skills to engage diverse learners, including CHWs, students,
    and subject matter experts.
  • Organizing and
    coordinating skills.
  • Ability to design, develop,
    implement, and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology.

Conditions of Employment

Minimum Qualifications

Successful completion of at least 60 college-level credit hours; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Experience with
    Articulate 360, specifically Storyline.
  • Adaptability in working with multiple
    stakeholders and responding to evolving training needs.
  • Curriculum development experience
  • Experience using translation software.
  • 3+ years of experience in instructional
    design, technical course development, curriculum management, or a related
    field.
  • Experience working with Learning Management
    Systems such as Canvas.
  • Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office Suite
    tools.
  • Proficient in Smartsheet, REDCap, and Qualtrics
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish and/or Dine
