Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our Investment Operations Oversight team. In this role, you will provide operational support for the implementation of our emerging market strategy, including the rollout of new trading instruments and the exploration of new markets. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the relationship and deliverable of our outsourced back-office service provider. This position requires balance between hands-on, tactical operational support and strategic initiative implementation. The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Engage in operational support for emerging markets and forex trading, including pre-and post-trade activities such as onboarding, settlement, fail management, trade claims resolutions, and process governance. Conduct comprehensive analyses to identify gaps, perform in-depth examinations of fund-level data, manage data entry tasks, ensure the accuracy and quality of data for reporting and management purposes, and detect and resolve any discrepancies. Contribute to the design of new processes, systems, and procedural implementations. Interact daily with portfolio and account management professionals, working closely with internal front, middle, and back offices, and externally with custodians and brokers. Manage end-to-end implementation initiatives for accessing emerging markets, including market research, intel collection, workflow optimization, and developing operational solutions to complex requirements. Establish governance and operational efficiency across pre-trade research and post-trade support. Demonstrate leadership in autonomous problem-solving, reliability, and accountability for tasks and deadlines. Manage through ambiguity and mitigate operational risks to deliver business outcomes. Apply experience and sound business judgement to effectively resolve complex issues. Resourceful, inquisitive, and enjoy working through difficult solutions collegially. Position Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or economics. Graduate studies are a plus. 3-6 years of related experience in asset management operations, such as onboarding, emerging market research, settlement, trade fail management, and trade claims resolution. Proficiency in performing gap analysis, conducting in-depth examinations of data, managing data entry tasks, ensuring data quality for accurate reporting and management information, and identifying and resolving discrepancies. Project management and implementation skills, capable of understanding and meeting stakeholder expectations and managing interdependencies across multiple sub-projects. Proven skills and proficiency in various Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Pivot Tables. Familiarity with SQL, python, Confluence/Smartsheets, or similar tools is beneficial. Excellent communication abilities, capable of effective interaction with all organizational levels both verbally and in writing Self-motivated and strategic thinker with a proven ability to lead solutions. Effective at working with both local and global teams, and skilled in networking with various departmental colleagues and external parties. Ability to establish and maintain strong, cohesive relationships with brokers, custodians, and back-office operations to boost process efficiencies, productivity, and controls. Exceptional record-keeping skills, with the ability to document information comprehensively, capturing task nuances and providing necessary support for effective communication. Adept at facilitating stakeholder consensus during challenging discussions, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on minimizing distractions. PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.
Salary Range: $ 100,000.00 - $ 112,500.00
