About the Opportunity
The Provider Support Specialist position is to provide essential support to North Carolina parents and service providers participating in the ESA+ scholarship program, which allows funds to be used for academic tutoring, educational therapy, and transportation to educational activities. This role is responsible for diagnosing and resolving customer issues submitted via email or help desk tickets, offering direct support to providers, and guiding them through the provider enrollment process. Additionally, the position involves troubleshooting and explaining payment setup issues, as well as training providers on ESA+ protocols.
Responsibilities also include enrolling and monitoring nonpublic school providers of educational services, providing technical assistance to schools or providers using the main database system (including document uploads), and contributing to the development of resources such as website content, handbooks, and other public-facing materials. The Scholarship Provider Support Specialist will also support the training of both external stakeholders and internal staff to ensure smooth program operation.

This position may be eligible for a hybrid or remote work arrangement, consistent with NCSEAA policy. NCSEAA employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
Bachelor's degree and minimum of one year of relevant experience working in customer service and program administration using a database system in a government setting.
