Responsibilities
Cedar Springs Hospital is seeking a talented and dynamic Substance Abuse Therapist to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals! Shift: Monday-Friday, days. Flexibility required for evenings, as needed. Minimum Salary: $65,000 Maximum Salary: $85,000 Position Summary: The therapist role is designed to provide group and individual therapy to clients within the outpatient setting. Additionally, therapists have the primary responsibility for treatment and discharge planning and interface with community agencies and referral sources throughout the client's course of treatment. As the PHP/IOP Therapist, this individual will have oversight of all social work functions for acute patients. This would include Psychosocial Assessments, Treatment Plans, Active Treatment, and Discharge Planning. Able to complete required clinical paperwork according to established protocol and regulatory agency requirements. Must be able to maintain professional and appropriate boundaries with clients and families. Ability to act professionally in high stress situations. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Requires a full range of body motion including handling and physical restraint of patients. Ability to perform CPR and first aid. Ability to work rotating schedules. Ability to drive a vehicle if necessary. Must be able to speak, read and write. Emotional stability necessary to perform the essential functions of the job. Vision and hearing sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
