JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Risk Management Department in the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University invites applications for an open rank clinical position in International Business for a fall 2025 start date. The duties will involve teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level, including the College's introductory international business course. Onsite teaching is a requirement of the position, but experience with or interest in online teaching is also desired. Clinical faculty in the Smeal College of Business are expected to teach 19 credits per academic year (or its equivalent) and contribute to the teaching mission of the school by bringing relevant knowledge, experiences, and perspectives to the classroom. This is a non-tenure-line, term appointment with possibility of renewal. Rank and length of term are determined by education and qualifications. Education and Experience Candidates must have a terminal degree (Ph.D. or J.D.) in international business, or an academic field related to international business, granted or near completion by the appointment/start date. Related fields may include any business discipline, economics, political science, international business, or international law. Candidates should provide evidence of prior teaching or demonstrate the ability to effectively teach undergraduate and/or graduate students. Academic Environment The Risk Management Department is home to faculty in Actuarial Science, Business Economics, BusinessLaw, Enterprise Risk Management, International Business, and Real Estate. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape a growing international business dimension in the Smeal College. Additionally, the position may include the possibility of participating in faculty-led study abroad programs through the Strickler Office of International Programs, and supporting the Center for Global Business Studies.
