Location: This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to the Grand Rapids Service Centerlocated in Grand Rapids, MI, the Bacy City Service Center located in Bay City MI or OEP, located in Jackson, MI.The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify).


General Summary of Job Responsibilities

The Sr. Multimedia Communications Consultant is responsible for developing visually engaging content for internal communications in static, interactive, and animated/motion graphics forms. They are able to lead the delivery of complex, turn-key multimedia communications that require coordination from a variety of stakeholders within and across teams. They are equally comfortable producing compelling content for print, digital, video, interactive and other communication methods to effectively deliver integrated multimedia campaigns for various audiences and purposes. They are highly proficient at using software applications to effectively mockup, present and execute their original communication proposals which may span technical and commercial communications, infographics, flyers and posters, presentations, informational and educational videos, sound and music application, content and script writing, executive interviews, social media, internal marketing and brand solutions, live event production, crisis response, and more. They leverage diverse and highly specialized professional knowledge and best practices to add value while delivering excellent service to internal clients of all types and seniority. Assignments range from critical and sensitive to creative and engaging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports team goals, including tracking through the use of visual management, reporting on content and engagement results to help drive continuous improvement; Helps identify best practices, standards and process gaps and collaborates to solve them.
  • Supports self-serve communication options for internal stakeholders through training/job aids and identification of new tools. Develops standard templates for consistency of visual elements across platforms and creative developers.
  • Develops dynamic, informative and engaging content to tell our company's story and address complex business communication objectives in creative ways. This includes meeting with internal clients to pitch and develop concepts and storyboards, writing scripts and creative briefs, asset creation, support to Producer/Director (when filming is necessary), and review/editing.
  • Other duties as assigned or may be necessary
  • Coordinates and executes on production timelines for complex multimedia campaigns. This includes researching, scoping, producing and editing as well facilitating reviews, publishing and archiving.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of editing in any non-linear software with preference for the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
  • Extensive knowledge of graphic design
  • Video editing and delivery
  • Audio editing
  • Motion graphics and animation
  • Ability to design and implement gamified elements into communications and creative media
  • Script writing for video and/or voice over recording
  • Storytelling
  • Consulting and strategic relationship building with employees at various levels of the organization
  • Ability to juggle several projects simultaneously while maintaining organization and adherence to a detailed action plan / deliverables timeline
  • Ability to move seamlessly across diverse business groups, geographical cultures, and organizational sensitivities
  • Video lighting and shooting experience preferred but not required
  • Diverse range of technical capabilities (e.g. graphic design, gamification, animation, interactive media, photo editing, editing, etc)

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in media production, communications or related field and4 years broad experience with video editing, graphic design, animation and motion graphics.
  • [OR]Associates degree in media production, communications or related field and 6years broad experience with video editing, graphic design, animation and motion graphics.
  • [OR]Highschool diploma/GED with 8 years broad experience with video editing, graphic design, animation and motion graphics.
