Join our dynamic team as an Engineer 1, where you will play a crucial role in driving supplier quality performance and protecting our brand. Under general supervision, you will apply and ensure the execution of food safety, quality assurance procedures, and quality systems, acting as a functional liaison to align quality assurance objectives consistently. As an Engineer 1, you will investigate ideas and opportunities to enhance our competitiveness, improve throughput, and reduce operational costs. You will implement operations policies, procedures, systems, and strategies against corporate quality standards. Functioning as Quality's primary contact, you will address quality/food safety issues and lead continuous improvement initiatives for specified suppliers to the winery. Your role will involve driving audits, corrective actions, and presenting updates to Quality and Ops management. You will facilitate root-cause analysis for quality/food safety issues, apply statistical techniques to sampling protocols, and conduct monthly quality reviews with suppliers and operations teams. You may participate in creating and maintaining scorecards, reporting on quality scorecards, corrective actions, and next steps at stakeholder meetings. You will support supplier quality improvement through targeted projects for high-risk suppliers and execute qualifications and verification programs to ensure brand protection. Participation in food safety and quality audit programs, including supplier or co-manufacturer sites, will be essential. You will be responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulatory considerations.
