Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and environmental well-being of your workplace and community? We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining compliance with regulatory agencies and ensuring the safety of our site team members and the surrounding community. As our EH&S Manager, you will collaborate closely with corporate environmental and safety specialists to guarantee that our site plans and procedures are up-to-date with all regulations. You will manage the development of your direct reports, ensuring they consistently implement EH&S processes and continue to grow their skills. Your responsibilities will include partnering with corporate environmental specialists to ensure compliance, representing our winery during OSHA inspections, and designing programs that meet EPA and Cal/OSHA standards. You will also facilitate inspections, manage industrial injuries, and engage in regulatory rulemaking discussions. Your role will involve halting site operations if safety risks are identified, overseeing environmental and safety training, and acting as the site representative with commercial and residential neighbors. You will lead root cause investigations for significant incidents, develop action plans to prevent recurrence, and manage hazardous waste handling. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations, and maintain certification training for first responders.
