Customs Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW

dormakaba is seeking a remote Customs Specialist. The Customs Specialist is responsible US Customs compliance support to support Operations, Tax, and Procurement by supporting audits, brokerage reviews, duty analysis, classification, and general queries related to Trade Compliance initiatives.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: Base Salary $70,000 - $85,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Support the Trade Compliance Manger in the areas of import/export compliance and act as a support to communicate the compliance reviews to the business
• Strong HTS classification experience and utilization of CROSS, AI software and global classification systems
• Act as the liaison for brokerage activities on incoming shipments and support release processing
• Utilize all import databases and ERP systems to complete import data reporting

WHAT WE REQUIRE

• 5+ years of experience in US Customs Trade Compliance
• Knowledge of US Export compliance as it relates DOC and BIS.

WHAT WE PREFER

• BS degree from an accredited university or college.
• Broker's license preferred.
