Position Summary: Plant Financial Analyst will report to the Plant Controller and is responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting to the Plant Controller. The responsibilities include ensuring prompt processing, evaluating and reporting of expense records for payment, and reviewing and auditing expense reports and invoices to ensure accuracy and company policy compliance. The Financial Analyst will coordinate with various departments to maintain records for accounts payable and will assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes. This individual will work to maintain integrity in inventory control, cost accounting, and accounts payable. This position will work closely with manufacturing managers to understand issues and how they impact financial results as well as educate/inform departments on cost drivers and variances.

Responsibilities:



  • Labor, sales, and backlog reporting weekly to executive staff for plant.
  • IMA Variance reporting support
  • Reporting accuracy of manufacturing variance accounts as part of the month-end close process
  • Bill of material and work order review and variance tracking
  • Responsible for assisting inventory management, including preparation of reserves and disposition plans
  • Prepare and complete month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports associated with the manufacturing accounts.
  • Process invoices while maintaining mathematical accuracy and proper coding according to company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with other employees on corrections and issues.
  • Reconcile vendor statements periodically to accounting records to maintain accuracy.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Answer general questions and provide training and assistance to other employees as needed or suppliers as required.
  • Other various duties as assigned by Plant Controller


Skills, Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, highly preferred
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems and Accounting software
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • High Level of Proficiency with Excel
  • Experience with SQL and report writing
  • Able to build and maintain rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Some travel expected
