Position Summary:
The MedscapeLIVE! Technical Producer is a key contributor to the overall success of the live business unit, the technical producer supports live events both domestically and globally. A key component of the position is to operate as a video tech during live events, controlling the switch to screens and DSM's and the ability to deploy and manage Audience Response Systems (ARS) at live/virtual and hybrid events. Demonstrating extremely strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience to support the production staff at medical conferences, webinars and virtual conferences are the essential skills required for the MedscapeLIVE! events Technical Producer.
What You'll Do:
  • Operate PPT during live events,switching between ppt/video/ARS to screens and DSM's
  • Develop and maintain standard operating Audience Response procedures for live/ virtual/hybrid conferences and symposiums
  • Streaming experience and expertise on multiple platforms
  • Create reports, dashboards, and other tools to effectively collect feedback from attendees and measure progress toward team and organizational goals
  • Work on location and virtually on various video conference platforms to create live/simulcast webinars and virtual conferences
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask in an event driven environment
  • Interact with professionals in the medical community to gain insight from the learners to advance our technology solutions
  • Support the production team in a variety of technical capacities in addition to ARS oversight
  • Create documentation on various instructional technologies

  • Conversant in Webdev as well as video production
  • Someone who will support the production team in leading the ARS integration at live and virtual meetings and help in the overall technical workflow in delivering in person/virtual and hybrid events
  • Able to trouble shoot hardware and software in stressful situations
  • Strong background knowledge with live production hardware and software
Qualifications:
  • 5 + years working in multimedia deliverables and experience working on live/virtual and hybrid events
  • Set up, configure, and operate a wide range of audiovisual equipment, with a primary focus on video components such as cameras, video switchers, projectors, and monitors.
  • Experience with PPT and operating a switch during live events
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of systems, tools, work routines and procedures related to meetings, events, hybrid events, and remote productions
  • Experience and implementation of Audience Response Systems
  • Digital content and video editing skills, Adobe Suite
  • Experience in data asset management
  • Webdev and familiarity with Javascript, HTML and CSS a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills for tracking events timelines and budgets, expertise in Excel and Microsoft Suites, Smartsheet as well as other organizational tools
  • Experience working on different streaming platforms, Livestream, Vimeo, VMix
  • Streaming knowledge and expertise
  • Comfortable with all aspects of Zoom and remote recordings
  • Willing to travel domestically/globally
  • Up to 50% travel may be required
