What You'll Do IronArch Technology is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing (HPC) Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) and the U.S. Army Research Laboratory (ARL) DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain multi-user computer systems, collaborating with network engineers
- Set up administrator and service accounts, manage system documentation, optimize system performance, and install system-wide software
- Allocate mass storage space and recommend hardware/software purchases
- Ensure backup recovery, STIG compliance, and configuration management of HPC systems
- Develop and monitor policies and standards related to HPC resource utilization
- Represent IronArch in technical forums and customer meetings on HPC-related topics
- Create and manage automation scripts for system deployment and configuration
- Support testing, troubleshooting, patching, and hardening of systems
- Respond to occasional off-hours outages and participate in service restoration efforts
