Basic Function (Primary Purpose):

This position reports to the Organization Development Manager. The Sr Learning & Development Partner is responsible for defining the strategy andcoordinating the learning and development process for Gerdau North America.This position functions as a process expert, actsas a liaison with the Global Center of Expertiseand supports the Field HR. The Sr. Learning & Development Partner also monitors, maintains, and reports the effectiveness of programs and tools, and seeks continuous improvement and alignment with Gerdau.

Scope:

This position will be responsible for providing guidance and functional support to the Field HR (Managers and Generalists) in learning and development, pipeline processes, culture management and engagement. The focus will be on designing and developing solutions, which HR will implement in their assigned customer groups. The company's projects and priorities will determine which Organizational Development processes this position will be responsible for at any given time, and therefore, this position must have the ability to be cross-functional and adapt to changing priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities



  • Coordinates the learning process, governance, and ecosystem for North America (US and Canada).
  • Analyzes training needs of the organization and formulates development solutions.
  • Supports and assistsimplementation of programs to develop and retain employees.
  • Supports engagement and culture initiatives as well as improvement of employee experience.
  • Supports and assists in the design andimplementation of pipeline programs.
  • Develops training content andsupervises their development by outside suppliers.
  • Managestraining and development vendors, resources, systems, tools, and budget.
  • Facilitates internal workshops and leadership training.
  • Manages theLearning Management System - Success Factors for North America.
  • Updatesand maintainstraining catalogs, curricula's, content andtraining plans.
  • Monitors and reports the effectiveness of training as well as other development programs.
  • Customizes and implements learning and pipeline initiatives from the Global Center of Expertise.
  • Supports and develops the Field HR in the strategy and execution of the processes mentioned above.



Qualifications and Educational requirement(s):



  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Human Resources or Organizational Development, preferably with experience and knowledge in learning and development.
  • Ability to design and develop training and development programs.
  • Knowledgeable of tools and trends in learning and development.
  • Training facilitation skills.
  • Computer skills including Office 365
  • Knowledge and experience withLearning Management Systems, preferably Success Factors as well as authoring tools.
  • Be creative and open to change.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence others.
  • Ability to be responsive and focus on assisting and supporting field HR and other internal customers.
