POS Specialist

WHAT YOU WOULD DO:

• Program POS item and price changes including database updates and maintenance.
• Perform remote support activity to solve POS functionality issues and ensure proper operation.
• Provide excellent customer service and constant follow-up with restaurant locations until a resolution has been found.
• Ensure POS security procedures are implemented and enforced.
• Research ways to continually improve POS operations.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and change management logs.
• Provide technical support to restaurant locations as dictated by operational needs that may be inclusive of on-call evening/weekend after-hours and early mornings or later shifts.
• Provide backup support to IT Team for basic networking, connectivity, email, and user support.

• Perform reasonable additional duties as requested by supervisor/management.
• 15-20% travel or as needed for successful roll outs, training and support of new systems and process implementations.

PREREQUISITES:

• Working experience with On-Premises and Cloud technologies using SQL, Azure Technologies, Power BI and DAX.
• Good interpersonal skills; comfort and competence in dealing with different teams within the organization. Requires an ability to interface with multiple constituent groups and build sustainable relationships.
• Versatile, creative temperament, ability to think out-of-the box while defining sound and practical solutions. Ability to master new skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience working with Python or PowerShell to build API pipelines to import data.
• Implementing ADF pipeline for various source systems
• Experience in creating and maintaining SQL Server Agent Jobs and Windows Scheduler Jobs.
• Good to have skills Power Apps, Power Flow, Snowflake.
• Experience in building ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Expert knowledge of database technologies, data warehouses using Kimbell methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge of POS software. Aloha preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in tech support or help desk role.
• General IT knowledge: networking, connectivity, hardware, software, etc.
• Excellent technical and communication skills.
• Strong customer service attitude.
• Ability to effectively organize and multi-task.
• At all times maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and a positive attitude.
