We are seeking top talent for Mutual of Omaha's Actuarial Student Program. This program offers support towards study materials, exams, and paid study time. Once hired, students become a member of the Actuarial Talent Pipeline and have the opportunity to develop customer-centric product solutions and provide analytical Actuarial support that will contribute to the achievement of corporate profitability and growth through effective planning and development of Actuarial information and data.



WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:



  • Estimated salary: $75,000 - $121,000 plus annual bonus opportunity (salary determined based on number of exams passed).
  • Remote opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:



  • Analyze financial and non-financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Generate and verify data using actuarial and mathematical concepts.
  • Provide updates on actuarial information to internal and external clients.
  • Conduct special analytical projects related to product management.



WHAT YOU'LL BRING:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree, along with a completed internship or relevant experience. Ideal candidates will have 2+ years of full-time actuarial experience.
  • Successful completion of Exam P and one other Society of Actuaries exam, with a commitment to attaining FSA.
  • Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
  • Aptitude for statistical interpretation, a working knowledge of actuarial assumptions and formulae and accounting practices.
  • Knowledge of actuarial science, economics, statistics, or mathematics.
  • Familiarity with actuarial software (AXIS), programming languages (VBA, SQL, R), and insurance products.
  • Effective oral and written communication and human relations skills.

  • Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
