Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General) Location: Gallipolis, OH, 45631 Shift: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM Duration: At least 6 months from projected start date Role & Responsibilities: Perform skilled nursing procedures (e.g., obtaining vital statistics, applying sterile dressings, administering medications and feedings, wound treatments, inserting catheters, etc.). Observe, document, and report patient conditions, providing thorough reports to the Registered Nurse or Physician. Respond to medical emergencies, perform first aid, CPR, and use an AED when necessary. Complete documentation such as patient records, medication logs, and incident reports, ensuring accurate and thorough record-keeping. Verify and implement physician's orders and ensure medication administration and tracking are accurate. Assist in maintaining organized, stocked work areas and handle supplies and equipment. Communicate with the pharmacy to maintain medication stocks and keep infection control documentation up to date. Perform clerical tasks (e.g., answering phones, filing, copying, faxing). Provide guidance, orientation, and training to lower-level direct care staff as needed. Attend medical appointments and participate in meetings as required. Maintain patient supervision levels and respond to patient alarms when needed. Qualifications: Current LPN licensure in the state of Ohio. BLS/CPR certification.
