Job Description:

ResEcon is looking for a Director of Operations to join our growing Administration team! The Director of Operations will oversee the day-to-day business functions of the firm, ensuring seamless execution of strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and high-quality client service. This role requires a strong leader with expertise in operations, financial management, and team leadership. The Director of Operations will work closely with senior management and support staff to optimize business processes, drive growth, and enhance overall firm performance.

Salary Scale:

The Director of Operations is paid an annual salary of between $135,000 and $165,000, subject to all required deductions and withholdings, and not including the value of benefits under any Resolution Economics-maintained benefit plan. The Director of Operations position is classified as exempt from overtime pay requirements under applicable federal and state law.

The Director of Operations will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer. Primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, profitability, and service delivery.
  • Oversee firm-wide policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure compliance with legal industry standards and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance productivity.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with the firm's goals and objectives.
  • Manage and oversee conflict check process including serving as the liaison with counsel on engagement letter support.
  • Oversee and manage local office support across the firm.
  • Design and maintain office specific contingency plans to handle operational disruptions and emergencies.
  • Support staffing initiatives, including but not limited to, monitoring and reporting on utilization, supporting hiring initiatives, managing staff allocation, where applicable.
  • Support budgeting, financial forecasting, and expense control to support the firm's financial health.
  • Support business development efforts by ensuring operational readiness for new clients and cases.
  • Support business development and marketing efforts through supporting on CRM development and management.
  • Identify emerging industry trends and assess opportunities for business expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including confidentiality and data security policies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a utility resource to support wherever needed across the firm.
  • Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.


Skills and Abilities:



  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong and demonstrated ability to manage and develop people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and a strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.


Education and Work Experience:



  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field required.
  • 7-10+ years of proven experience in operations management, preferably within a litigation consulting firm, law firm, or professional services environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Experience in litigation or consulting environment a plus.
