Overview

ViaPath Technologies is currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and disciplined Senior Systems Analyst to join our Integrations team, working on the diverse data feeds into multiple ViaPath systems and applications. The selected individual will serve as a liaison between the client/stakeholder and the Integrations Engineering team, gathering requirements from clients and/or internal stakeholders. They will plan, analyze, and resolve basic business problems relating to the Integration system. This analyst will also provide technical guidance to identify and evaluate systems or automated processes and will assist with resolving issues, providing solutions that meet the business requirements, and ensure they are cost effective.

Position is a hybrid opportunity based at the ViaPath office in Dallas, TX.



Responsibilities

    Identify and plan integrations engineering solutions that align with organizational strategy and needs.
  • Translate strategic initiatives to scoped projects and individually workable development items.
  • Facilitate requirements, design, and working session discussions.
  • Provide clear, concise written functional/non-functional requirements and users stories.
  • Review and ensure platform reference documentation is complete and kept current.
  • Identify gaps in reference details, areas of improvement or clarification documentation.
  • Analyze integrations platform, processes, databases, and data across platforms for enhancements and issue resolution.
  • Serve as team liaison connecting integrations engineering with internal client and external client organizations.
  • Serve as a Scrum Master, utilizing agile practices to support iteration execution, sprint planning, and backlog grooming.
  • Champion continuous improvement for development and quality assurance across sprints.
  • Analyze, prioritize, and resolve issues related to integrations platform. Remove blockers and drive issues to resolution.
  • Coordinate change management activities ensure releases comply with change management, risk, security, and auditing policies.
  • Participates in design sessions to analyze business and user needs and provides subject matter expertise in functional areas; document requirements and revises existing system logic, as necessary.
  • Take full ownership of identifying and recognize issues and problems, and then work with management, business sponsors, and others within the organization to prioritize and drive the issues to closure and resolution. This may require creative problem solving.
  • Analyze customer requirements, along with ViaPath systems and processes, and recommend business solution to meet the customer and ViaPath's business needs.
  • Communicate expectations and drive for completion of deliverables to maintain deadlines.
  • Respond to after-hours issues based on escalation.
  • Work with the Integrations development team on grooming requirements and priorities.
  • Provide status and updates on integrations work in-flight and upcoming.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable field is preferred. Equivalent related experience required in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related role.
  • Advanced understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • 2+ years working in an Agile methodology environment; Scrum Master Cert a plus.
  • 3+ years working knowledge of SQL; able to read and create complex queries.
  • Understanding of file structures such as comma-delimited, fixed length, XML, and Webservices.
  • Experience working with JIRA/Confluence or similar ticketing system.
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail, diligence, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to meet tight competing deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and propose solutions.
  • Strong skills in Information Technology and/or Government projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with a diverse team of internal and external stakeholders (technical and non-technical).
  • Good teaching and coaching skills.
  • Professional attitude and demeanor.
  • Prior experiences with Interfaces and integrations a plus.
  • Ability to travel occasionally - about 10%.
