Our Client is seeking a Cyber Security Cloud Tester, to serve as a member of a Vulnerability Testing Team. The Cloud Application Tester will be responsible for testing cloud applications to ensure they meet security and compliance standards set by them. This role involves working with various cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, Google, and Alibaba, to conduct thorough manual testing of cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud application testing, a strong understanding of cloud security and permissions, and the ability to adapt skills across different cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities: * Application Testing: Conduct manual testing of cloud applications to ensure they meet specified security and compliance standards. Execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for cloud applications. Identify, document, and track defects and issues found during testing. * Project Involvement: Participate in projects involving the migration and modernization of applications to the cloud. Test new cloud applications, provide feedback, and generate detailed reports for stakeholders. Ensure that cloud applications comply with their security expectations and standards. * Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure thorough testing and quality assurance. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and issues. * Quality Assurance: Ensure that all testing activities are conducted in accordance with established standards and protocols. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of testing processes and make recommendations for improvements. Key Skills and Qualifications: * Cloud Application Testing: Strong experience in manual testing of cloud applications. Understanding of cloud security and permissions. Familiarity with cloud-specific investigative tools for deeper analysis. * Technical Knowledge: Experience with various cloud environments, including Azure, AWS, Google, and Alibaba. Ability to adapt skills across different cloud platforms. * Project Management: Strong project management skills to handle a high volume of work and manage multiple testing activities simultaneously. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to effectively communicate with team members, stakeholders, and vendors. Experience: * Minimum one year of experience in cloud application testing. * Ability to transition skills across different cloud platforms. Tools and Methodologies: * Manual Testing Tools: * Experience with manual testing tools and cloud-specific investigative tools. * Independently execute manual cloud-based vulnerability assessments by analyzing systems to determine the presence of vulnerabilities * Report findings into tracking system with appropriate risk, quality, and effectiveness * Interact with customers remediation and validation questions Skills * Possess expert technical understanding of cloud environment including IAM, infrastructure, networking, automation, authentication, and security policies. Preferably in Azure and/or AWS * Be familiar with various security assessment tools, and techniques to level of knowing what they do and how they operate. * Min 2 years' experience penetration/vulnerability testing of cloud systems in an enterprise environment * Strong understanding of web technologies, e.g. HTTP, HTML, CSS, Forms, Database Connectivity, etc. * Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, SOX, HIPAA, etc. * Full grasp and ability to articulate and/or train others on the "OWASP Top 10" and related concepts * Ability to perform manual web application vulnerability assessments without the use of automated tools such as web application scanners * Ability to capture and analyze network traffic, including ability to discern whether said network traffic contains vulnerabilities and/or sensitive data *Have a solid grasp of core security fundamentals and concepts, including knowing one's system, defense in depth, the principle of least privilege, access control, encryption and cryptography, security architecture and design, business continuity and disaster recovery, etc. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
