Job Summary

This position is responsible for directing and managing the Nuclear Security Organization, which provides oversight and governance, technical direction, and support to the sites in all aspects of nuclear security operations.

This position serves as a technical specialist in all areas of the Nuclear Security program providing strategic guidance to Fleet and Site Management on a range of issues regarding security operations.

Position provides direct oversight of Fleet Performance Improvement and Sustainability.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the VISTRA Physical Security Program.
  • Development, preparation, and monitoring of the Fleet Security budget.
  • Provide direction to the individual Site Managers in accordance with NRC commitments and technical specifications of the operating licenses.
  • Conduct analysis and implementation of programs to improve and maintain safety performance of the Fleet Security Organization.
  • Development and implementation of Fleet Security standards of excellence.
  • Provide guidance and oversight of Security Fleet strategic planning.
  • Provide oversight and governance on the conduct of shift operations.
  • Participation in industry working groups.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years Nuclear Security experience with a Bachelor's degree or 15 years Nuclear Security experience with a high school diploma.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Nuclear Security practices, federal regulations, and their interpretation and application.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, to interpret applicable laws and regulations, and to make quick decisions that result in positive outcomes.
