Medical Billing & Insurance Specialist
Your mission: Turning claims into cash, with accuracy and flair! Are you a master of organization with a passion for solving billing puzzles? Do you love diving deep into accounts, finding the answers, and getting things done? If you're someone who thrives on precision, takes pride in detail, and loves working in a fast-paced environment, we want you on our team! As our Medical Billing & Insurance Specialist, you'll be the superhero behind our billing process, making sure insurance claims and patient accounts are resolved quickly and accurately. You'll navigate through the world of insurance carriers, government payors, and financial assistance programs with finesse, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Plus, you'll be the go-to expert everyone turns to for your knowledge and guidance.
What You'll Do:
Own the billing process: Daily insurance claims, collections, and self-pay accounts? All yours to manage with precision! Solve the mystery of outstanding accounts: Monitor, reconcile, and resolve payor accounts using smooth, efficient workflows. Tech-savvy problem-solving: Use a variety of electronic systems while maintaining high customer service standards. Know your stuff: Stay sharp on third-party billing, Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement, financial assistance programs, and all the latest in payer regulations. Lead by example: Become the go-to expert and guide others in your area of billing knowledge. Hit those quality measures: Ensure that everything is up to federal regulations and department standards.
What You'll Bring to the Table:
High school diploma or equivalent (because we believe in education, no matter where it comes from!). At least 2 years of experience in the world of professional billing or insurance claims. Solid experience in commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement (the more you know, the better!). Comfort with the details: You know how to read reimbursement comment codes and payer provider manuals like a pro. Tech skills: You've got basic software skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) and a natural aptitude for numbers and data entry. Great communication: Whether it's in writing or face-to-face, you're the kind of person who can explain complicated things in simple, clear terms.
Bonus Points if You Have:
A self-starter attitude that loves solving problems and tackling challenges head-on. Strong teamwork skills - you're someone who helps others out and enjoys collaboration. A love for detail and critical thinking - if there's a billing challenge, you're already thinking of the solution.
Why You'll Love This Role:
Make an impact: Your work directly affects the financial health of the organization and helps patients in need. Be a billing superhero: Be the expert everyone turns to with confidence! Growth & development: Learn and grow in an environment that encourages professional development. Fun & collaborative environment: Work hard, laugh harder - join a team that values both professionalism and personality.
