We're looking for a People Technology Business Analyst (contractor) to join Procore's People Operations team. In this role, you will play a vital part in optimizing our People technology systems, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our organization. We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented individual with experience in Workday and a deep understanding of People practices.

As a successful People Technology Business Analyst (contractor), you must be a detail-oriented and organized professional with expertise in People technology systems and processes. Your role involves bridging the gap between People and Talent Technology teams, supporting key People functions like Core People, Talent, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Compensation, and Learning Management. Success requires proactive analysis of current systems, identifying improvements, and ensuring seamless technology implementation that aligns with business goals. Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills are essential to drive continuous improvement and optimize People processes, enhancing the overall employee experience.

The position reports to the Head of People Technology Strategy and can be based remotely in the U.S. or in our Austin, TX office. We're looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with the People COEs, Product Manager, and Talent Tech team to ensure the successful delivery of People technology projects and enhancements.

  • Manage multiple People products and support teams which may include Core HR, Talent, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, Compensation, and Learning Management.

  • Act as the liaison between People COEs and Talent Technology teams, providing analysis, use cases, and test plans for system implementations and enhancements.

  • Plan, manage, and ensure timely delivery of People projects according to established standards.

  • Evaluate business processes, identify gaps, assess risks, and recommend improvements or corrective actions.

  • Build positive relationships with People and Talent Technology teams, providing ongoing support for system-related issues and resolving them proactively.

  • Document business and functional specifications for system development, and improve People systems by designing and assisting with the implementation of modifications.

  • Work closely with stakeholders and People Technology to analyze, design, develop, test, and implement software solutions in line with People best practices.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including process workflows, user guides, and training materials

  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and professional development through workshops and networking

  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field.

  • Proven experience (5+ years) managing HR technology systems, particularly Workday.

  • Strong understanding of HR processes and practices, including Talent Management, Recruiting, Onboarding, Compensation, Learning Management, and Performance Management.

  • Ability to translate business needs into functional requirements and vice versa.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across departments.

  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Expertise in analyzing, optimizing, and improving business processes through HR technology solutions.

  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization.

  • Experience in developing and maintaining system documentation and user guides.

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
