The Sr. Data Analyst will hold a pivotal role in delivering business insights through analytics and business intelligence tools, while developing and maintaining the foundational elements of a data governance program within Human Resources. This role collaborates with HR Technology, Enterprise Architecture, Business Applications, internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams and external vendors. As a Sr. Data Analyst you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining advanced analytics solutions. You will prepare data, implement data models, and conduct analysis in alignment with the underlying purpose, focus, and objectives of each project. This role will support the promotion and adoption of data governance and data literacy initiatives

What You Do.



  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business problems, and identify analytics needs.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, leveraging expert communication and influencing skills to drive consensus on data governance strategies and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable analytics solutions extract insights from large datasets.
  • Engage in in-depth analysis of data requests to validate data governance initiatives and technical solutions, ensuring they align with the principles and needs of all stakeholders.
  • Develop visualizations and interactive dashboards to present complex data and insights in a clear and concise manner.
  • Perform data validation, testing, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in analytics, data science, and software development.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive data quality improvement plans, ensuring the successful implementation of data governance best practices and continuous monitoring of data quality
  • Act as a trusted advisor to various stakeholders, including senior management, data owners, data stewards, and other teams within the organization. Offer expert advice and recommendations on data governance strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Lead efforts to establish and maintain documentation of governance standards, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories for accurate and consistent data definitions.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: May manage up to 1 direct report.


Your Education and Experience.



  • Bachelor's degree required, with preference in information science, data management, computer science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data analytics or data management.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources analytics required.
  • Extensive experience in handling large data sets and working with relational databases, demonstrating proficiency in data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Visier or Power BI.
  • Advanced ability to articulate complex technical concepts or designs clearly and concisely to a diverse audience, including non-technical stakeholders and senior management.
  • Excellent facilitation skills with a track record of successfully driving issue resolution and project outcomes within cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of being proactive, self-motivated, and able to independently lead and deliver results through collaboration and teamwork, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong expertise in metadata schemas and standards, ensuring data consistency and governance across the organization.
  • Previous experience in mentoring or guiding junior team members is desirable.
