The Inspector is responsible for conducting visual inspections, tests, routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials in process and finish product, using a variety of testing devices and procedures to maintain product quality

Responsibilities

  • Performs tests and inspections using instrumentation to verify integrity and functionality of product.
  • Tests product to verify it meets standards.
  • Observes designated work areas performing tests and measurements, reads results and compares test results and measurements to verify accuracy to standards, schematics and blueprints.
  • Collects and records results of inspections and testing to maintain record of product quality.
  • Assists in resolutions of issues to meet standard and create a quality product. Estimate allowed time for testing and inspection for claims and repairs.
  • May be involved in the development of testing and inspection methods.
  • Revision and update of inspection and test documentation as needed.
  • Perform special projects involving testing and inspection requiring test instruments for problem solving process validation.
  • Performs final inspection on products and determines acceptability, based on adherence to specifications and on acquired job knowledge of acceptable standards.
  • Document measurements and readings using numerous electrical, flow, distance and sound measuring instruments.
  • Identify and mark unacceptable product for disposal or return.

Requirements (education, experience, travel, physical, work environment):

High School diploma or equivalent

Must be able to read and understand English.

Should have good communication skills

Must be able to climb, twist, bend and stoop.

Must have use of hands and be able to work over-head.

Must be able to stand, squat, and grasp.

Must be able to lift up 40 pounds.
