Teamvantage, a Velosity Company is searching for a Production Supervisor to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN on our 3rd shift. This role will supervise and lead the production team to meet production requirements of product quality, on time delivery, and manufacturing cost control.
This is an on-site position supporting our Forest Lake location. Shift: Sunday - Thursday, 10:30pm - 7:30am. The typical pay range for this role: $67,219 - $100,828 per year. This role is also eligible for a 5% quarterly bonus target. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, internal equity and other relevant factors. Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED-General Studies.
- Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in plastic injection molding preferred; 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility preferred
- Lead and develop production teams to meet organizational objectives including first time right and continual operational improvement. Develop and train employees for ongoing career development. Multitask and prioritize resources while completing objectives correctly the first time, on time; provide accurate, timely, and professional communication between coworkers and other departments; basic computer skills
- Working knowledge of injection molding processes, equipment, and critical processing parameters. Basic understanding of scales and other required measuring equipment; Understanding of blue print reading
- To be able to perform daily tasks safely; to work independently with limited supervision
Essential Duties:
- Lead production operations and team members to produce product right the first time.
- Schedule operators to produce product per the priority levels established by the Master Scheduler including production and engineering setups per plan.
- Address cost drivers (cycle time, scrap rates, labor utilization, and work cell layout) throughout the shift to maximize shift effectiveness.
- Delegate responsibilities to team to produce parts correctly the first time to meet customer quality and delivery expectations.
- Continually develop a cross functional, flexible work force by conducting and coordinating effective training activities and implementing succession planning to continually improve overall shift bench strength.
- Coordinate with leads, human resources, and associate staffing suppliers to ensure proper onboarding, training, documentation, development, and performance appraisals/decisions are being executed to facility policies and expectations.
- Monitor production operations including box counts and run times to close jobs on time eliminating under/overrun situations.
- Complete all necessary documentation for production during the shift in compliance with GMP standards and internal QMS requirements.
- Drive continual improvement initiatives to improve overall production effectiveness.
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are being adhered to by employees
- Ensure safety rules are adhered to by employees
- Ensure a smooth transition to the next shift by relaying production related information and other information as it pertains to shift, production, or the business as needed.
- Works cooperatively with all employees.
- Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Physical & Mental Demands:
- Walking is required within the office/shop areas. Sitting, standing, turning the head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending and flexing the arms, legs, wrists, and fingers are physical requirements. Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception. Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to walk, sit and occasionally climb and balance. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and move objects in a safe manner using proper equipment. Must have dexterity with hands.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information.

This position may require one to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding/ Precision Machining shop.
