Summary:
The Clinical Supervisor practices nursing independently and meets the professional practice standards defined in the job description for nursing process, leadership and management, and professionalism, growth and development. The role of the Clinical Consultant is one of providing direct assistance and resource to the clinical nurses, as well as a key leadership role, providing support, development, and communication to the clinical nurses while managing patient flow through the inpatient areas.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  1. Education: BSN required.
  2. License/Certifications: Current Maine Registered Nurse License, BLS certification, ACLS certification. Professional certification required within two (2) years of hire.
  3. Experience: Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in acute inpatient setting required. Minimum of one (1) year of Mid Coast - Parkview Health experience preferred. Previous leadership experience (charge nurse, preceptor, team lead, etc) desired.
  4. Job required high level of problem solving due to the complexity of the situations encountered.
  5. Good physical and emotional health.
  6. Organizational skills/interpersonal skills.
