McGraw-Hill Higher Education has an exciting opportunity for a Business Lead, Commercial Operations to join our team.

Your impact on the team:

The Business Lead, Commerical Operations is responsible for taking a leading role in driving multiple commercial and operational initiatives in partnership with VP, Analytics and Strategic Initiatives. As part of this role, you would serve as an integrated business voice for the Higher Education business operation across requirement gathering, technology builds, commercial model development and go-to-market planning efforts. These requirements would be done in partnership with all critical functional verticals including Sales, Product, Marketing, Strategy, Commercial Operations and Finance. You will serve as a consolidation point requirements and as a part of the core team with the technology and integrations team during any technology buildout.

This role works remotely from a home office and reports to the Vice President of Analytics & Strategic Initiatives. Candidates must permanently reside within the United States and be open to travel for team meetings.

What you will be doing:

  • Serve as day-to-day lead for the Higher Ed business as it relates to buildout of integration services capabilities, partnering with core teams to guide technology buildout decisions.
  • Drive business unit stakeholder engagement across multiple operational initiatives, including those that impact the technology underpinning future product distribution strategies.
  • Working in partnership with program management support resources, provide regular updates to project owners and stakeholders on project status and escalation of potential roadblocks to drive resolution.
  • In partnership with Sales, Pricing, Product and Commercial Operations leaders, drive the buildout of new selling / commercial models within higher education eco-system.
  • Partnering with Sales and GTM leaders as part of early-stage sales and market research efforts as required.

We're looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent professional experience
  • 3+ years of direct experience serving as primary liaison between technical team and senior business functional leaders, 5+ years and managerial experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in the higher education marketplace or forms that serve the education marketplace.
  • Demonstrated problem structuring and solving skills.
  • Strong financial acumen to support financial impact analysis.
  • Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience in developing new business and commercial offerings along with supporting back-office enablement technologies.
  • Displays and acts with curiosity, initiative and integrity.
  • Detailed working knowledge of course material distribution landscape in Higher Education market preferred.

The pay range for this position is between $90,000 - 130,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
