EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



  • High School diploma or General Education Degree.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools related to maintenance and safety equipment.
  • Welding skill not necessary, but a plus.
  • Valid driver's license required.


DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES



  1. Perform routine plant maintenance, including clean up.
  2. Assist with onsite operations safely such as temp loads, back trucks into job sites and adding products.
  3. Inspect plant for necessary maintenance and complete repairs as assigned.
  4. Operate hand tools and safety equipment including, but not limited to: grease guns, wrenches, shovels, fire hoses and cutting torches.
  5. Assist with operations of asphalt and ready-mix plant as directed by supervisor or plant operator.
  6. Be able to work at heights safely.
  7. Obey all safety rules and work in a safe manner. (Federal, state, local and company policies.)
  8. Work alone or work with other employees in a friendly & cooperative manner.
  9. Be self-motivated.
  10. Be receptive to ongoing education about products and how they work.
  11. Operate a motor vehicle safely and by following all laws and policies.
  12. Communicate inspections and safety concerns to supervisor or plant operator.
  13. Assist with unloading material.
  14. Assist with batching as needed.
  15. Run loader operator, manlift and forklift safely as needed.
  16. Performs other duties as assigned.
